Ringier Axel Springer Media AG was established on 1 July 2010 as a joint venture between Swiss Ringier AG and German Axel Springer SE in order to combine their international operations in Central and Eastern Europe.

Today, Ringier Axel Springer Media AG manages an extensive portfolio of more than 165 digital and print products in the expanding markets of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. Its International Office is based in Zurich, Switzerland and has approximately 3.100 employees.

Our history

Ringier Axel Springer Serbia was established in 1996. Since 2010 we are part of the international group Ringier Axel Springer Media AG, which operates also in Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and the Baltics.


The company was founded on April 2nd 1996 under the name Blic Press  d.o.o. The first issue of the daily newspaper Blic was launched on  September 16th. The circulation was around 300.000 copies. Blic was the only opposition newspaper.

Ringier AG

Ringier was established in 1833 in Zofingen, Switzerland. It is since more than 180 years a one hundred percent family-owned business, and is currently being run by the fifth generation.

Today Ringier is a multinational integrated media company and one of the most important media enterprises in the Swiss home market.


Ringier publishes more than 120 newspapers and magazines worldwide, produces and markets various TV programmes, and has significant shareholdings in TV and radio broadcasting companies.
